Mike Pennekamp holds an M.F.A. in Studio Art with a concentration in Printmaking from The University of Arkansas, Fayetteville and a B.F.A. in Printmaking from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. He currently lives and works in Chicago, IL.
Mike’s artistic practice is continuously fueled by a love of comic books, niche cinema, and a DIY punk ethos. Influenced by "fine" artists, "outsider" artists, illustrators and cartoonists alike, his work explores conspiracy, history, sociology, and revisionist narratives in a post-truth American landscape… or maybe that’s just what he wants you to think.
